Works on the La Cartuja Stadium, designed by Cruz y Ortiz Arquitectos, are progressing according to schedule and will be finished in time to host the final of the 2025 Copa del Rey on 26th April. With the removal of the athletics tracks and the extension of the stands, the stadium will have a capacity 70,000 spectators, becoming the third largest stadium in Spain.
Works are currently in the final stage of this first phase, with an average of 200 workers a day in the stadium and a ten-day advance on the initial schedule.
