Antonio Ortiz, (Cruz y Ortiz Arquitectos) will be leading the course at the Menéndez Pelayo International University: ‘Interventions on existing buildings’. This event, supported by the Banco Santander Foundation, will be attended by recognised architects such as Rafael Moneo, David Chipperfield and Kees Kaan.
The course focuses on the valuation and rehabilitation of heritage buildings. Topics such as strict restoration, deep alterations and intervention on lower level buildings will be addressed. Participants will explore how and to what extent these buildings can be modified, considering the balance between old and new, under the guidance of leading architects and experts in the field.
