Gold Medal of Andalucia

The distinction awarded in recognition of the exceptional or extraordinary actions, services, and merits performed by citizens, groups or entities that represent or assume the virtues, individual or collective, that reference solidarity or to the work to benefit their fellow Andalusian citizens. Sevillian architects don Antonio Cruz Villalón and don Antonio Ortiz García have contributed with their brilliant and prestigious professional work and enhancement of the current architecture, and, more specifically, of the Andalusian architecture, contributing numerous projects of great importance to the region. Like the station of Santa Justa in Seville, the stadium of the Comunidad de Madrid and other of similar relevance in Europe, and simultaneously with such projects with an active teaching function in specialized centers of the highest level, like the University of Harvard.
