From February 9th to April 26th will be the seminar speculative architecture organized by the Prado Museum and the Camilo José Cela University.

The seminar is co-chaired by Félix de Azúa, Professor of Aesthetics, member of the Spanish Royal Academy, and Luis Feduchi, architect and Director of the School of Architecture at Camilo José Cela University.

Cruz y Ortiz Arquitectos will intervene on February 16th.

On Thursday the 24th Bjarne Mastenbroek, from the SEARCH study will give a conference under the title “New realities” in the White Seville Chair.

The closing session will be at the Fundación Valentín de Madariaga at 17:30.

On Tuesday the 22nd José María Sánchez García will give a conference under the title “Geometric Traces” in the White Seville Chair. This chair is directed by Cruz y Ortiz Arquitectos.

On Friday the 18th, Ángeles García de Paredes will give a lecture under the title “Preexistencia y proyecto” in the White Seville Chair.

On Friday the 14th, Ginés Garrido will give a lecture under the title “Preexistencia y proyecto” in the Cátedra Blanca Sevilla led by Cruz y Ortiz Arquitectos.

Between September 14th and 25th of this same year, Antonio Cruz (Cruz y Ortiz Arquitectos) will lead an intensive workshop at the School of Architecture in Seville, which will also include Antonio Ortiz and Guillermo Vázquez Consuegra.

The event proposes an exercise of projects to be developed at the preliminary project level, a two-week format intensive intervention exercise, accompanied by lectures from visiting architects, technical conferences and critical sessions open to the public.

Architects Guest lecturers: – Bjarne Mastenbroek, SEARCH – Paredes & Pedrosa – Burgos & Garrido – José María Sánchez.

The course will be held from Monday to Friday, with workshops and critical sessions between 10am and 7:30 p.m. and lectures from 7:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. The total activity corresponds to 3.4 ECTS (75h + 10h), however, those who attend only the lectures can validate 0.4 ECTS (10h).

The workshop is intended for students of the last courses in Architecture.

Antonio Cruz (Cruz y Ortiz Arquitectos) has been invited as a professor by the Faculty of Architecture of Delft.

Cruz summoned other Spanish architects to a conference. The guests were José María Churtichaga and Emilio Tuñón, two different generations of the Faculty of Architecture of Madrid, complemented by Antonio Cruz, the first generation of these three. The architects showed the synergies between architecture and construction. They all have a very precise and frugal application of the “gesture”, only when it is significant. Taking advantage of their presence in Delft, they attended the review of student projects, offering criticism and suggestions.

Antonio Cruz and Antonio Ortiz (Cruz y Ortiz Arquitectos) are invited lecturers at the HES (Hepia) in Geneva and the Technical University of Delft. In the same quarter both universities will work in the Plantage area in Amsterdam.

On September 15, HES students were welcomed in the atrium of the Philips Wing at the Rijksmuseum, where they were shown the intervention of Cruz y Ortiz Arquitectos in one of the most important historical centers of art.
