Last April 13 marked the 10th anniversary of the inauguration of the new Rijksmuseum, a 13-year long renovation carried out by our studio.
Metalocus website makes an exhaustive analysis of the project and what these 10 years of success have meant for the museum. 
The Rijksmuseum and Cruz y Ortiz are now studying possibilities for meeting new objectives with a view to 2030.

The Rijksmuseum celebrates its 10,000,000th visitors in four years, many more than they had originally expected. To celebrate, Rijksmuseum has offered the 10,000,000th visitor an opportunity to spend the night in front of Rijksmuseum’s “Night Watch” Rembrandt painting.

The Museo del Prado presents the eight finalist projects of the International Contest for the architectural restoration and museum adaptation of Salón de Reinos del Buen Retiro, including the winning proposal by Foster & Partners L.T.D – Rubio Architecture S.L.P.
The contest, published in the Official State Gazette on March 1, 2016, and whose duty was to choose the architecture team that would produce the restoration proposal of the Hall of Realms, was announced last November 22nd and the winning team was publicly presented on the 24th.

The finalist teams, whose proposals can be seen in the exhibition, are:

Very proud to be selected for the final phase of, probably, the most important museum of China and the largest in the world in just a one building!

Cruz y Ortiz Arquitectos is working intensely on the last delivery of next January 5th of Museum of traditional Chinese Art in Shanghai. As soon as we can (hopefully with good news) we will show you the project.

Produced by the ICO Foundation and curated by Jesús Ulargui, the exhibition Cruz y Ortiz 1/200 … 1/2000 invites us to know the work of the Cruz y Ortiz Arquitectos studio. More than fifty projects describing the national and international trajectory of the studio, from Doña María Coronel’s 1974 houses in Seville to the most recent project, the new stadium of Club Atlético de Madrid, currently under construction. The stadium will be inaugurated for the season 2017/2018.
